OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF VANCOUVER ISLAND’S VERY OWN ACTOR TRAINING FACILITY: VICTORIA ACADEMY OF DRAMATIC ARTS

Vancouver Island is proud to host many Film and TV Productions from  Seven Deadly Sins to X- Men 3, but where are our local Actors? Where can you train to be a film actor on Vancouver Island? For years, we have watched our best acting prospects relocate to Vancouver, Toronto, L.A.

Now, local talent can get their training right here in town.

In support of Victoria’s dynamic film and theatre community, we are proud to launch the Victoria Academy of Dramatic Arts, dedicated to the training of actors for film, TV and theatre. Registered with the BC Government’s Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA), we have a faculty of eight committed and experienced professionals. The Academy offers an intensive one-year diploma program, evening classes, private coaching and independent programs of study.

Here’s what an Academy Student has to say about the Program:
?Since working with Victoria Academy instructors I have booked a commercial, a nice part in an independent feature film, and acted on stage for the first time.  It has been a great benefit to my confidence and ability to perform. I’ve decided to enroll in their full time program as I believe it is precisely what I need to take my career to the next level.?
